What this covers

This page describes what AI Visibility (AIV), a Richburg Consulting product, collects about you and your business, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It is written from what the product actually does, not a template — every sentence below has a real setting or a real line of code behind it.

What we collect when you sign up

Creating an account takes your email address, a password, and the name of your business. Your password is passed straight to our authentication provider, Supabase, to create your account — we don't store it ourselves.

What we collect about your business

Once you're signed in, onboarding asks for your business's name, its website, and the city you serve, so we can build a question set that matches how your buyers actually search. As you use the product you can add competitors to track and the services or specialties you offer; we store what you enter.

If you brand the product for your own clients (our agency plans), you can also give us a logo, colors, a support email and a sender name for the reports we send.

What we collect when you pay

Payment goes through Stripe's own checkout page — we never see or store your card number. We receive your email address, a reference to the order, and Stripe's own customer and payment identifiers, which we use to confirm payment and to send receipts.

What we collect if you contact us

A support request you send from inside the product is tied to your signed-in account, so we already have your email — we don't ask for it again. If you reach out before signing up (for example, an Enterprise scoping request or a question from the site), we collect what the form asks for: your company name, your name, your email, and, if you give one, a phone number and your website.

What we don't collect

Analytics. To understand how people find and use this site, we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity. They record the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, the site or campaign that sent you here, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city level). Clarity also records mouse movement and scrolling on each page so we can see where a page is confusing; it masks what you type. These tools set first-party cookies. Analytics requests may pass through a tagging server we control, hosted by Stape, before they reach Google. We do not use Google's advertising features (Google signals) or share this data for ad personalization, and we keep it for 14 months. Where the law requires your consent, these tools run only after you agree in the cookie banner. You can opt out at any time by blocking cookies in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

The AI assistants we measure — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews when that measurement is enabled — are sent the same kind of question a real buyer would type. Most of those questions are built only from your service and your city ("best dentist in Charlotte, NC"). A smaller set of comparison and brand questions do include your business's own name, the same way a buyer comparing options by name would ("Acme Dental vs. Bright Smile Dentistry for teeth whitening", "What treatments does Acme Dental provide?") — we don't withhold your name from those, because a buyer wouldn't either. What we never send is any account identifier, or any indication of which answer we're looking for: we compare what comes back against your business ourselves, after the fact.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of vendors to run the product, and share only what each one needs to do its job:

  • Stripe — to process payment. You give Stripe your card directly; we never see it.
  • Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Perplexity — to run the measurement questions described above, with no account identifier attached (some of those questions, as described above, do name your business).
  • A third-party search data provider — to read Google's AI Overviews, on the same basis, when that measurement is turned on for your run.
  • Supabase — hosts our database, handles sign-in, and stores the report files we generate for you in a private location only your account can reach.
  • Resend — delivers the email we send you: verification, password reset, and the notice that a run has finished.
  • Railway — hosts the application itself.
  • Google — Analytics 4 and Tag Manager, to measure how people use this site, as described above.
  • Microsoft — Clarity, to see where a page is confusing, as described above.
  • Stape — hosts the tagging server analytics requests may pass through before they reach Google.

How long we keep it

We don't yet have a fixed retention period or an automatic deletion schedule. If you'd like your data removed, email us and we'll take care of it by hand — this is a manual process today, not a self-service one, and we're revisiting that as the product grows.

Your choices

You can update your business's details — name, website, city, competitors, service lines — at any time from inside the product. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; see above.
